the mental health of
women and girls globally. The
first round of Fund Partners will be announced in
March 2025 in alignment with
the research-backed
approach to cultivating good mental health for

As part of The Panorama Group, a platform for social change, it helps partners navigate the winding path from vision to impact, and it serves as our Global Fund for Women's Mental Health Donor-Advised Fund partner.

Founded by Social Impact Council member Latham Thomas, the Mama Glow Foundation's mission is to transform the landscape of reproductive health in the U.S. by educating and empowering our communities. kate spade new york and the Mama Glow Foundation aim to create programming centered around nurturing mothers and caregivers in the maternal health space through workshops, coaching and more.

kate spade new york, through its donor-advised fund at the Tides Foundation, supports The Motherhood at Moms First, a national, non-profit organization founded by Social Impact Council member Reshma Saujani. Moms First is transforming our workplaces, our communities and our culture to enable moms in America to thrive.

kate spade new york and its Foundation have been partnering with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing since 2020. From this time, mental health first aid has been provided to artist communities in NYC, over 130 kate spade new york employees have been certified in mental health first aid, and over 900 of our North America store teams have been trained in a curriculum specific to mental health first aid at work, specific to the retail industry.

In 2018, we began the donor-advised On Purpose Fund with Tides Foundation to support local non-profit organizations across the globe. Tides has worked as a grant-maker in over 150 countries, making sure that funds are distributed appropriately and efficiently while positively impacting local communities. Our goal is to leverage Tides' expertise, in collaboration with non-profit partners, to create sustainable investments in global communities for years to come.

We've partnered with the Trevor Project to help end suicide among LGBTQ+ youth. Our donations help to fund their critical LGBTQ+ youth community outreach, programs and essential 24/7 crisis services. In addition to monetary support, we host internal employee engagement opportunities to learn more about LGBTQ+ youth advocacy and share resources on how to talk about LGBTQ+ youth mental health. The Trevor Project's 1,500+ volunteer crisis counselors provide direct support to over 150,000 LGBTQ+ youth in crisis every year. In addition to partnering with the Trevor Project nationally, we also support Trevorspace, an affirming international online community for LGBTQ+ young people ages 13-24.

resources and
support in the New York City area.

The kate spade new york Foundation has partnered with Black Girls Smile to provide in-person and virtual mental health literacy workshops in new york through the SHE's Mentally Prepared program. SHE's Mentally Prepared aims to increase mental health literacy, decrease mental health stigmas and increase access to mental health resources. The program provides monthly 90-minute workshops facilitated by licensed mental health providers focusing on in-depth topics that specifically impact the mental health and well-being of Black women and girls.

The kate spade new york Foundation supports Exhale to Inhale's delivery of trauma-informed yoga to girls and women on college campuses in NYC, while equipping the broader college community and male allies with the skills to better understand and support sexual assault survivors' mental wellness.

The kate spade new york Foundation supports Girls Inc. of NYC to scale and develop Mind Body Matters, an interactive digitized curriculum to improve the mental well-being of teen girls, consequently improving their academic performance and opportunity. Not only have we supported the development of this curriculum, but to further this work, we have also provided grant funding to support teacher training and implement the Mind Body Matters program citywide.

The kate spade new york Foundation's support will enable Grace Institute to make additional critical enhancements to their core workforce development programs for unemployed and under-employed New York City women. This support will ensure that all of the women we serve, including the most vulnerable, are able to receive the key mental health interventions they need to move from poverty into professional, career-laddered jobs.

The kate spade new york Foundation Has supported The Lower East Side Girls Club to launch pilot years one & two of programming for their Center for Wellbeing and Happiness, which opened in 2020. With a mix of virtual and in-person programming catered to girls, their mothers and the broader Lower East Side community, the center aims to strengthen and support healthy lifestyle behaviors in young adults and their families, reducing their health risks and improving their health outcomes. In addition, the kate spade new york Foundation funds the expansion of the LESGC's mental health offerings with the goal of helping members achieve long-term empowerment.

The kate spade new york Foundation's grant funding supports the expansion of the L.O.V.E. Mentoring program, a space where female-identifying public school students between the ages of 11 to 17—mainly of Latino descent and from low-income communities in New York City—can learn how to strive personally and academically through positive reinforcement, consistency and understanding. During the academic year, mentors and mentees participate in weekly hour-long sessions guided by a curriculum that consists of four core components: mental health, reproductive health, college access and career readiness.

In honor of founding kate spade new york Foundation board member Jerome A. Chazen, the Foundation has provided grant funding in support of domestic violence prevention and awareness work across a spectrum of NYC-based programs supported through the JAC Fund and New York Community Trust.

The kate spade new york Foundation supports Project Basta's expansion of programming for female first-generation college graduates. Through the grant, Basta will expand its career development support for first-generation women of color with its 10-week fellowship program as well as provide a new set of offerings to its female-identifying alumnae, empowering them to grow and develop in their careers.

Through grant funding, employee volunteerism, product donation and more, we support Rising Tide Capital's suite of programs that provides women entrepreneurs lacking access to services and resources. They receive business training, mentorship, mental health support and the financial access needed to launch and manage a successful small business. Together we are working to increase the economic opportunity and agency of low-income women and their families—and support their mental health along the way.

Rwanda

Since 2013, we have been working in the community
of Masoro, Rwanda—where our mental health
work
originated. Learn more about our On Purpose
collection and our Rwandan partners.

Through our On Purpose collection, we partner with Abahizi Rwanda, a social enterprise handbag manufacturer that is an employee-owned, B-Corp Certified supplier. We invest in and source from Abahizi—in turn, Abahizi empowers the 250+ women who work there through full-time employment, mental health and well-being supports, training and counseling, plus healthcare for each employee and her family.

Since 2015, we have partnered with General Architecture Collaborative (GAC) to design and implement our expanding activities in Masoro, Rwanda. We teamed up with GAC because of its collaborative approach grounded in community engagement, training and education, and research and innovation.

As part of our continued approach to empower local Rwandan leaders to create the best impact in their community, the On Purpose Fund provided seed capital for the founding of Isooko Community Development. This Rwandan-based non-profit supports the development of local communities by empowering women and youth through comprehensive and inclusive programs focused on health, education and economy. ICD provides access to the Masoro Sport and Learning Center, plus tools and resources to drive positive change and sustainable social and economic progress. They also provide early childhood development programming for the community and support for the women and caregivers who partake in this programming.

We've partnered with Resonate to deliver leadership workshops for women and youth in Abahizi, Rwanda, as well as the Masoro community, where our On Purpose supplier is based. Together, we are working to positively impact the self-confidence, agency and power Rwandan women have over their lives.
